POLICY INCENTIVES FOR CLIMATE CHANGE MITIGATION AGRICULTURAL TECHNIQUES

PICCMAT is a FP6 project (6th framework programme of the Research DG) co-financed by the European Commission. This Specific Support Action (SSA) is part of the Scientific Support to Policies priority aiming to:
Assess the effectiveness (feasibility and cost efficiency) for climate change mitigation of a range of possible changes to land management practices;
Make recommendations on possible RDR funding or cross-compliance to Good Agricultural and Environmental Conditions;
Disseminate this information to Policy makers, research community, stakeholders and the general public.
COST ACTION 734
The main objective of the Action is the evaluation of possible impacts from climate change and variability on agriculture and the assessment of critical thresholds for various European areas.

LUC (Land Use Change and Agriculture)
The strategic goal is to support policy-makers in developing rational, science-based and realistic national, regional and global strategies for the production of food, feed, fibre and bio-energy and other services that achieve long-term sustainability of land and water resources, while promoting rural development.

ACCRETe is a EU co-funded project within the INTERREG IIIB Cadses program
The mutual connection between climate change and agriculture and consecutive risks is analized

CECILIA - Central and Eastern Europe Climate Change Impact and Vulnerability Assessment
The main objective of CECILIA is to deliver a climate change impacts and vulnerability assessment in targeted areas of Central and Eastern Europe. Emphasis is given to applications of regional climate modelling studies at a resolution of 10 km for local impact studies in key sectors of the region.
